Soviet Superwoman Heroclix by Soviet-Superwoman Soviet Superwoman Heroclix by Soviet-Superwoman
Okay I don't normally post any art done by my own hand because quite frankly, I don't want everyone to laugh their way off my page. I leave art to the professionals and am very content writing. That said I have been sculpting and painting miniatures in my spare time for years and thought I might share this one I finished up late last night. It's for a game called Heroclix, which the best way to describe is chess with superheroes. Olga here is made from a She-Hulk and a Huntress and a great deal of sculpting work and a product called Super Sculpy. Then I painted her up in acrylics (using a magnifying glass for the eyes and symbol) and sprayed a plastic seal of Klear Kote to protect the paint. Voila! Don't know if the photograph does it the justice it looks like up close but I'll let you my friends be the judge. :iconbowplz:

Also you can see my monitor of choice is Gateway. ^^;

Soviet Superwoman is my creation and property.

Heroclix is a product of WizKids games.

Soviet Superwoman's stories take place in :iconangel-fallsda:

Wow, impressive! I'm a huge Heroclix fan, and have some ideas for custom sculpts, but just haven't made them yet. Good detail work. (Better than most Wizkids work...)

Thanks! I am terrible with artwork, but have always been good with miniatures. Go figure, it makes no sense.

Well all I do is take existing figures and sort of Frankenstein them together. Occasionally I'll use modelling plastic for parts that are character specific, like cape clasps and specific hairstyles. If you want I could try to make one for your superheroine.

Well sort of, If you think about it she is a female and the communist version of Superman and the orginal creator of Soviet-Superman could have thought of Soviet-Superwomen except it would be Soviet-SuperGirl a younger version so my point is its not exactly your property. ^^;

However D.C comics is bit weird though, I mean I don't even know who is the orginal creator of Batman anymore becuase there are so many versions of the comics so I think if you were in the comic bussiniss Soviet-SuperWomen would definitly be your Property. Don't get angree with me I'm just being realistic !!" ^^;

Man, now your hero is on a bored game ! I'm so jealous ! :-O

Nice work! The sculpting and paint are very well done and the attention to detail in phenomonal. Keep up the good work. I have yet to get into miniatures myself but it seems like an awesome media.

Used to have several tons of heroclix too. Only kept a few choice pieces. Now if I had unlimited room....

So how do heroclix work, then? Are they just pieces you can mix & match or or did you have to mutilate/cut up existing characters to get the stuff you wanted from each one?

I had to cut up two different pieces to make her and use some sculpting putty. Here's a link to the game itself: [link]

Not bad, the choice for the body was spot on, although the head proportions looks a little off (maybe it's just having black hair over a black background, or me be being overcritical).

It could very well be the black on black. Her head is proportional, it's actually the same She-Hulk head, all I did was trim and sand her hair down.

Very nice, right down to the intricate hammer and sickle. This is the real version of that image series done a while back of heroine statuettes.
