this is a excellent piece of art. really tells the tragety of war. any misguided youths were sent to their deaths by Hitler some wised up and fled to the west to surrender. I had met one of these boys, by then he wasa old man in a nursng home in Arizona. He explaind that he was pressured by his father to volenteer beause his father said it was his duty, but when he saw his friends killed for what was a lost cause he and others deserted even though it met oibe death at the hands of The SS.
After the war he was able to attend a university and got a degree in engineering. Himmigrated to the U.S. and raised a family. At least his life had a happy ending.
Some of those young boys and old men were sent with nothing but a single shot Panzerfaust, and nothing else. (The lucky ones got a K98 rifle, but you had to have previous basic knowledge on how to use a rifle and aim it.)
It's good to see that Olga was interested in saving the lives of those people who's only fault was to be living in Berlin while a desperate Nazi tyrant was trying everything in order to prevent the Red Army to get him.
While this picture shows us how Olga reacted while facing young children, this picture makes me wonder how would the Soviet Superwoman react when facing a 60 year old man...
