History: Jane Smith was born to the the man who would become Colonel John Smith, future hero of WWII and the original American Hero. Jane's mother died when she was very young and John Smith became her entire world. After the war (1951)he was subjected to a series of experimental injections that gave him incredible powers. The experiment granted Smith enhanced strength, speed, agility and the ability to recover from almost any wound provided his brain was still intact. Since the age of 13, with WWII now over and the Cold war beginning, Jane was being trained by her father to become the perfect soldier and fighting machine. He hired her the best trainers, best teachers and made certain that she was ready for the inevitable war with the Soviets he knew was coming. Sometime shortly after receiving his powers Smith managed to steal valuable information on the Soviet's super-soldier program and also tracked down the Nazi war-criminal Ilsa Hauppman in South America with the goal of retrieving her work on the subject as well. He brought this information back to a top-secret science facility where they used both serums and perfected what they believed was a chemical solution to create the ultimate soldier. Unable to adjust it to his own body chemistry, Col. Smith had the serum injected into his daughter in 1952. The procedure caused her to grow to amazonian proportions and gifted her with incredible strength, durability and impervious flesh. It did not however grant her flight or laser vision as it had the Soviet Superwoman so an experimental harness was created for her to replicate flight.
As she trained and honed her powers, her father was tragically killed on a mission to assassinate the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The loss of her father devastated the young woman and her grief soon turned into a white hot anger at the woman she held responsible: the Soviet Superwoman. Jane took the mantle and costume of American Hero from him and recovered his body from a Soviet science facility before they could learn any real secrets from it. The new heroine then went on a series of clandestine operations around the world, much like her father had, all the while hoping and praying that her next operation would draw her into personal combat with the Soviet Superwoman. So great became her obsession and thirst for vengeance that when the alien invasion force arrived in 1955 Jane willingly followed the Soviet heroine into another dimension to confront her, leaving her own world to burn just as Ilsa Hauppman had done.
Upon arriving in Angel Falls, and finding herself in the year 2009, Jane set about creating an image for herself as the perfect, patriotic American heroine. Jane also grew to see this USA as completely and morally bankrupt: A cesspool of communists, liars and politicians. A society run off the agendas of the baby-murderers, atheists, Muslims and poisonous socialists. Her goal soon shifted from simply destroying the woman she blamed for her father's death into sparking off a conservative revolution of sorts to bring America back to what she saw as traditional values, with herself as it's champion. After a prolonged battle with the Soviet Superwoman in the streets of Angel Falls she was exposed and defeated, sent to Tartarus maximum security prison for her multitude of crimes.
Jane didn't have to wait long to escape and soon tried once again to murder her old nemesis. Defeated a second time, Jane was rescued by Idol and the enigmatic Organization 52 in an attempt to rehabilitate the amazonian patriot. Jane pretended to go along with them for a time before striking back out on her own, this time in a bid to run for public office. Since her time in Angel Falls she had managed to accumulate a large number of followers who called themselves the Patriots. With their backing she embarked on an operation to twist the minds of the public using psychotropic compounds and thus assure her victory. This time however she was defeated by the Crimson Conservative, who despite agreeing with her political views about the nation, found her tactics and methods despicable. The fiery red-haired woman did not however turn her over to the police, rather giving her another chance to turn over a new leaf. Jane has laid her American Hero persona and political aspirations aside, choosing to take her words to heart and focus on becoming a better hero. She is currently using the name Prodigy to fight crime. Whether or not she continues to try to redeem herself remains to be seen.

This is the first of a few to hopefully help with the Angel Falls wiki that is currently being worked on. Everyone who has taken part in that has my profound gratitude and thanks for all their hard work.
